Prof. Dr. Simone Dohle

About me

Prof. Dr. Simone Dohle is Professor of Health and Risk Communication at the Institute of General Practice and Family Medicine since April 2022. She studied psychology at the Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg and received her PhD from the University of Zurich in 2010. After completing her PhD, she conducted research as a postdoctoral fellow and senior assistant at the Department of Health Sciences and Technology (D-HEST) at ETH Zurich. She continued her academic career as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Psychology at the University of Cologne where she completed her habilitation in 2018. Prior to her appointment at the University of Bonn, she was Interim Professor for Medical Psychology at the University of Bielefeld. Her research focuses on health and risk communication, self-regulation and motivation, health-related behavior change, medical decision-making and digital health.
