About me
I am a formulation and process scientist currently working in the pharmaceutical industry, where I focus on the development of innovative drug delivery systems. Alongside my industry role, I remain actively involved in academic teaching and research at the University of Bonn.
My research primarily focuses on protein-, peptide-, and nucleotide-based active pharmaceutical ingredients and their stability in solid dosage forms, such as implants. A key aspect of this work is the modulation of controlled long-term release of these agents, aiming to enable new parenteral treatment options for serious diseases.
My teaching activities (lectures and seminars) in the field of pharmaceutical technology cover the following topics:
- Biopharmaceuticals (manufacturing, formulation development, and characterization of protein-based drugs) as part of the PTM lecture series
- Seminars on novel dosage forms, development, and characterization of biopharmaceuticals
It is very important to me to provide students with practical and industry-relevant insights during these courses. Such insights can be highly valuable for their future career choices—whether in pharmacy or the pharmaceutical industry.
