Peroxisomes and neuropeptide secretion
We analyze the role of peroxisomes and one of their biogenesis factors, Pex19, in the secretion of insulin-like peptides from neurons in the brain of Drosophila.
ER-mitochondria (+peroxisome) communication
We assess how the communication of organelles of the "redox triangle" affects ROS production in dopaminergic neurons of Drosophila in models for Parkinson's disease.
Peroxisomes in human neurons during development
We use human neuroblastoma cells to find out how peroxisomal metabolism contributes to axon growth and synaptogenesis.
