About Me
Ich bin in der Auswahlkommission für den Masterstudiengang Medical Immunosciences and Infection (WS 2021 und WS 2022).
The aim of our research is to better understand the dynamics of the immune system in the context of human clinical disease. One focus is to directly visualize the behavior of immune cells during inflammation and infection by using cutting edge technology, including laser-scanning confocal and 2-photon microscopy. Imaging complex cellular behaviors in real time, both in vitro and in vivo, provides a unique window into these dynamic processes. We focus on cells of the innate immune system in different organs during S. aureus or E. coli infections or diseases like Familial Mediterranean Fever.
